With the reduction of energy expenditure (less training time), there must be a reduction in the consumption of energy (energy from food consumed) or the increase of the store of bodily fat. You may experience a loss of appetite, which will make it easier to reduce the consumption of energy.
There are two basic strategies for reducing the food consumption:
- Reducing the portions of main meals, and continuing to have small snacks
- Eating the same portions of main meals and eliminating all snacks from your diet.
Take into account that you will still have a basic training schedule, meaning that small snacks will always be very important for the recovery process.
